Communication

We will foster an environment to promote clear, open, and honest communication. Someone will always be available to celebrate our wins and discuss our improvements.

We will strive to remain humble and keep our eyes focused on our common goal of providing quality and safe childcare to the families in our community. We will care for our flock willingly, recognizing they are a gift that God has entrusted us with.

Integrity & Safety

We are not perfect but we will always strive to do the right thing and keep the best interest of the children and families at Granny & Dot's in mind. We will be honest, even when it's hard, admit when we are wrong, ask forgiveness and give unlimited grace. We will strive to provide a friendly face upon entering our building and consistently ensuring our kids are safely cared for upon arrival, throughout the day and upon leaving.

Love Big

We will provide unconditional love to our kids, families and team members without judgement. All children deserve equal amounts of love and how lucky are we to be able to pour into their lives. We will give hugs and high fives, "way to go's and "go get em's! We will be their biggest fans.

Discipleship

We will invest in our employees, providing them the training to do their jobs well, practice gratitude so they feel supported and encouraged, and help them find meaning and purpose in order to become the best version of themselves. We will encourage our team to fill their cups so that they can fill others.

Status quo isn't in our vocabulary. We will always strive to continue learning and growing in the newest research in child development. We want to encourage creativity in our kids and encourage them to think outside the box.

Encourage Often

Children are the purest of hearts. Their cups must overflow with positive reinforcement. We will strive to give positive feedback comments before negative feedback in order to keep their cups full and provide a positive environment of fun. We will smile often to demonstrate the joy in our hearts and lead by example. We will focus on their wins and collaborate on things they are "working on".

Private Preschool

If you are looking to give your child a head start in elementary school set them up for success & check out our Private Preschool option for ages 4-5 years. Our private preschool offers all of these things & so much more!

  • ​Smaller class sizes which means more 1:1 time for your child.

  • More in depth preparation for Elementary School including specials (Art, Music, Gross Motor Play and Library Time)

  • More social interaction with other children

  • Structured curriculum that is also flexible to meet each child's unique needs.

  • More support for you as a parent including parent teacher conferences, open houses, and family activities

Granny & Dot's Curriculum & Philosophy

At Granny & Dot's we use a blended approach of curriculum to facilitate the best possible outcome for all children. We use philosophies, teaching practices & strategies from Maria Montessori, Pockets of Preschool, STEM, & Positive Guidance. We believe using a blended approach ensures that all children will develop & learn to their fullest potential. On top of this our center will never be full. We have been licensed for 150 children but we feel that 1 on 1 time is essential for the development of our children. Therefore we have committed to keeping our daily attendance numbers below what the state allows.
